An acronym I have used for years to help me keep my prayer time from being a request-a-thon is some arrangement of the letters A, C, T, and S.
C stands for confession, which helps me come before God with a clearer conscience.
A is adoration, recognizing that God is the Alpha and the Omega, our creator and Lord.
T is for thanksgiving, which reminds me to express my gratitude for all He does and is, including answering my prayers.
S stands for supplication, which is bringing my requests before the throne.
My favorite version of this acronym is CAST because of 1 Peter 5:7... casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
